My SD Card has been Whaked

:embarassed: I don t understand what the HECK happened i was downloading Dataviz Documents To Go Ver8.002 which came on the cd that came with my new Treo680. My sd card was in the unit it had tons of Pic's, Doc's, and Music the download seemed to be going fine everything went on the desktop as it was supposed to , so as the hotsync was finished i checked the unit and it said there was no card in i knew that my card was there a min ago so i checked and the was there so i put the card on my desk top and it dosent reconize a card being put,now the panic kicks in so i put the card in my T/X and the same thing it says their is no card please insert card. The dang card is inserted so now all the info is gone and the card seems not to exist in any of my handhelds or my pc.....I have no idea what to do ,how to fix it...UGH

Can anyone help out.......

There are programs around that allow you to "undelete" files on the SD card. I do not remember them, but they are out there. To get around this situation, I use BackupBuddy Pro - it copies the card to the desktop. The indexing system on a SD card leaves a bit to be desired. Ben

Thnx Benjie, ihave RBaackup on my 680 but when i put the SdCrard in ,it say's please insert card and i did its in and still it says insert like it dosent even see the card .......very weird!!!! i dont kno what else to do....

Using a card reader and recovery software may get you somewhere. My suggestion on another card is not to drop a lot of money on it; a 1 or 2gb card does not cost too much and when used with a backup solution such as BackupBuddy Pro and having it set to back up the card, this will be an annoyance in the future instead of a problem. sd cards are as low as 15.00 for 1GB and sometimes free after rebates tryt walmart or walmart.com There was a recent post about sd cards here at ET
