Default New update made battery life worse!

After installing the new Treo 680 update, my battery life got WORSE! I unplugged my phone this morning at 6am, and now at 4pm, I only have 10% battery life left, and I only made 3 phone calls all day! What gives! I am going to let the battery completely drain now, and pull it out for a minute, then replace it, and charge. Hopefully, tomorrow will see better life. I thought this update was supposed to help! We'll see tomorrow. I'll let you all know.

Mine acted like it was new in regards to battery life after doing the update. I did the update on Friday - it's fine now and only took a few days to get back to normal.

Are you referring to the 1.09-ATT update? If so please let me know if it gets better.

Yes, I am talking about the ATT update. Seems like it's getting better. From 5:45am to 8pm right now, I have 57% remaining, and have used it a few times. Hopefully IMW is right, and it works as advertised. I totally ran the battery down yesterday, and removed it for about a minute, then reinserted it. Today it seems better. we'll see!

I just found out about this update. I'll have to try this when I get off of work in the next three hours.
Battery life is getting horrible. I used my phone once for two minutes in the last 10 hours since I unplugged it. Battery's completely dead -had to pop in the backup battery.
I hope that this update works.

Okay, I've installed the updater, let it do what it does, and when it said, "Finished - Click to exit the installer," my phone keeps resetting. On, off, on, off, about ten times and counting. Anyone else having this problem?

Finally got it. Had to do a hard reset and sync it. Now, we'll see how the battery lasts as I go for a long drive into the mountains.

I had the same issue! First loop since I have owned the 680! Did the HR, and had to reinstall. What a pain . . . All this for a battery life patch (I had already taken) Daylight savings patch (I had already taken) And new AT&T branding . . . . I can't tell any difference in battery life but then again, I had already installed the patch . . .
