Default Newbie, 1st smartphone, Must do's?

I use my 680 for phone and text, but I realize it's capable of much more.
I'm just not quite sure what it is that will give me the most pleasure of being a treo user.
Anyone have some ideas for a newbie?

Well, read these forums and you'll soon learn. I use mine for:
Phone talkin'
Bible Reading
Audio Books
Email
Texting
Web surfin'
Playing MP3s
Texas Hold'em
Watching videos with TCPMP
Watching some TV from my TIVO with TCPMP
Calculating
Working on Office Docs
Taking Pictures
Taking Videos
And the common - calendar, tasks and memos.

You'll love the thing!

Sounds like you get alot of use from it.
I just don't want to add many more dollars to the "phone bill".
My experience with wireless providers is that you are spending money when you are not aware.
I'd guess about 1/2 (listed) of what you use your smartphone for is costing you something. Am I wrong?

Adding to Target's List and also listing whether they are free or not, since you are watching coin!
  • Qucknews: pulls in Newsfeeds of some of my favorite sites. Dataplan needed
  • Podcasts: Most of which are dowloaded through Quicknews, but I sometimes pull them from my PC and put them on the card for later listening. Free if you download them on your PC and then transfer to your PC.
  • Little John Palm: A few old Nitendo games. FREE!
  • Boopsie: A very powerful search tool to find information. Wikipedia, Train Schedules, News, Sports Weather, much more! FREE, but dataplan needed. I use this app a lot! Very handy!
  • Googlemaps: Great Fee app for the Treo! Not a GPS, but a good way to figure out where you need to go! Free, but dataplan needed.
  • IM+ Think Trillian for your Treo. Dataplan needed!
  • Mundu Radio: Streams internet radio to your Treo. Free but dataplan needed
  • TreoAlarm: My alarm clock! Gets me up and grabs the latest weather all at the same time. Currently free, and not supported at this time. Dataplan needed to update the weather.
  • PdaNet: Turns my Treo into my Laptop's Modem when I don't have wireless access. dataplan is certainly needed
About the only thing I don't use my Treo for that Target uses his for, is the Audio books thing, and watching live TV.
