    Default No access to TomTom Plus

    Last Friday my TomTom Traffic stopped working. I am getting the following error, "Could not connect to TomTom Plus service. Please check the wireless data connection on your mobile phone." I've been working with TomTom since then to try to resolve the issue. They now believe the problem is with my Treo.
    The phone actually connects with Orange but then seems to have the problem with the Plus server which is why I believed it was a problem with TomTom's server. They set up another account for me that also will not work so it can't be a problem with my account. I am able to check email, browse the web, etc. with no problem.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    (I assume you are in the UK) I've got a Treo 680 using TomTom on Orange too, I just checked, I can logon without a problem to the TomTom Plus service.

    I spoke too soon! I had to do a hard reset and now I get the same problem.

    I've not had any luck getting TomTom Plus to work on Orange UK, TT support are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. As an experiment I put a borrowed T Mobile sim into the phone and it worked just fine. Going back to Orange and the problem returns.

    Default Fixed!

    I put the sim into another phone and allowed it to connect to Orange, I then put the sim back in the Treo and it now works with TT+.

    Everything was working fine with the Treo and TomTom until about 3 weeks ago, when suddenly it started having problems connecting to the GPS receiver. I was only able to get TomTom working again by changing the West European SD card with a UK SD card. Now TomTom works well, so much faster then before.

    However I was unable to the last 2 weeks to get TomTom Traffic to connect on the Orange network. Since this was a new installation I had to enter my username and password in the "Plus" services, but it would never connect. I tried all the possible network profiles on the phone, still no good. I put the SIM in another phone (which seemed to do the trick last time), still no good. I tried a number of other SIMS on various networks, still no good. As a last resort I created a new network profile, with the following settings:

    Connection="GPRS" Username="Orange" Password="multimedia" APN="orangewap"

    Connected using this profile and TomTom manged to connect to the server and the Plus services were activated. Strange thing is, going back to the original preset network profile now works too with TomTom, it can download just fine.
