    I tried the "beam it over" approach with Ver. 1.0 of notepad. (PalmOS v.3.5) It caused soft resets on my 650. Dependng on how far back your older device goes, you may or may not have good success.

    Yes, guess that's possible as many Palm programs (from them, 3rd Parties or freeware) written for older PalmOS will not work on OS5 - and that's not just limited to Treos.

    The version of Notepad I used was from my TX and was 2.3.
