Outlook calendar sync massive data problem

I need a hand!!!!. I own a treo 680 and have no problems syncing with palmdesktop. Outlook 2007 is a different story. Just downloaded the update conduits from palm web site and try to sync and it fails half way. Seems to me that the calendar syncing may be the problem. Have 14.728 appointments recorded since 2003 in my palm device (zire, zire 72, zire 22) and love to keep them, but the calendar syncing stops by around the 4.000 one. Is it impossible for my treo 680 to sync this amount of appointments????? I know they sound like a lot, but it's just 1329kb. Is there something I'm just not getting????

the file is probably too big - try archiving all of the dates older than a year and saving them as a separate pst file. I always purge in January and create a txt file out of the old dates to keep a record of each year that does not hog my pst file. Remember also that if your pst file for Outlook approaches one gig it becomes VERY unstable and if it crashes you can actually lose the whole thing.
