Smile Palm OS or Windows Mobile???

Which ones better? I just got a Treo 680 and it came installed with Palm OS and Cingular software. Is there anyway to change to WM6? I am not used to the Palm software and i find WM6 easier to use. If i cant change to WM6 from the Palm OS...is there a way to erase all the cingular preinstalled stuff that came on the phone?

    Thanks :laugh3:

It really is nothing short of just a personal decision. If you love Windows, WM is fine. If you do not, Palm is fine. I have had both OS and really prefer Palm; however I am now using a Windoz 800W. The Palm OS will not be updated any more; however, Palm did recently update the Centro with more memory. Windows is still developing. The faster of the 2 is the Centro/Palm OS and frankly, it does most everything except "multitask," which is the only reason I went with Windows.

As far as changing the device from POS to Windows, no way. Different internals, different organs, different...

As far as crasing all the pre-installed stuff, sure - make yourself a custom ROM or hunt around for a custom ROM. The pre-installed stuff really costs you no space for normal situations.

    Thanks for the input.

Bout what you said regarding to different internals and organs. The Treo 800w and 750 both run Windows and the 750 is for the most part the same as the 680. So i would think the 680 would be able to run Windows
