    Default Photos/Video Control

Hey guys I need a huge favor. I have a big problem with people going through my TREO 680 and looking at my photos/videos/text messages...some of which are really private. I hope that you guys know of some way to lock these things with a password. Either through the phone's settings or applications that will help me do this. I really would appreciate it guys, I really need to do this ASAP.

My phone is a Treo 680, like I said.
Bought it about 3 months ago thru AT&T.

    Thanks in advance!

Resco Veiwer has a way to make photos "private". I have never used this function so I can't tell you how it works. I also don't know if marking it "private" in Resco also hides it in the default 680 viewer. But that won't help you on your IM's. You might want to consider Locking the device itself. There are a few apps in the store here that might help you with that. My last suggestion would be to keep my Treo close to me if I didn't want "people" looking at my stuff, and if that isn't possible, deleting sensitive texts and moving private pictures to a private place via the PC ASAP. Good luck and let us know what you find that works best for you . .

partly depends upon who is looking and why.

a determined snoop is going to find them anyway. perhaps a separate SD card particularly as they are only a few bucks a piece now.

a casual observer has first to gain password access but if they are beyond that, a slightly more elegant way is to file them on the card but NOT in DCIM and if necessary under a psudonym. this way the Media app will not "see" them and nor will a casual observer. they can be re-filed appropriately for you to view the image at your "pleasure."
