Problem with TomTom6 after updating of Treo 680 Unlocked

Hello, all!

I (and I'm not alone) have been waiting for update for Unlocked Treo 680 so long... and it's became a true! Happy and glad, I have installed the update as it has to be done, straightly according to instructions from Palm.

Everything seems to be fine except one thing - TomTom 6 became completely unusable! Now the program can not normally work with my WinTec GPS receiver - it is taking some data from the receiver, then after few minutes became more slowly and slowly, and then stopping or just freezing completely... And additionally, 5-way navigation buttons on Treo are working only up and down, but not left, right and OK (center push)...

I have tried two different versions of "special" pack of TomTom 6 from Palm site and one from some torrent, but with the same result - as I have described above...

Sad, but true - something is strange on Bluetooth link between TomTom and the GPS receiver! Palm have made some changes in Bluetooth modules in new ROM...

Tomorrow I will try to connect to another GPS receiver from my friend - Holux GR-236 - I will post results here later...

You are not alone. It seems the ROM with the best BT stack is 1.09, but the best modem firmware is 1.12. This link explains how to custom flash this combination. http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=159784
