Receiving pics on unlocked AT&T 680

I along with my friend have unlocked AT&T 680's that we use with T-Mobile. But we cannot get pics through MMS or SMS. Have no problems getting regular alpha/numeric text msgs. Is there a setting that we need to change or are we out of luck?

Nothing like hijacking a post with some nonsense. Anyway, I think you have to have some kind of data plan with T-Mobile to get pictures and videos in messages. I was looking to switch to T-Mobile, but the coverage isn't good where I need it to be.

no you don't have to have a data plan but you do have to have a text pkg or else pay 0.25 for each pic. i can get them on my 650 (but it is also an unlocked phone) but not on my 680 (which is AT&T branded) and i think it is because of some AT&T programming within the phone that needs to be changed. maybe a reconfiguration to a t-mobile setting. ???????

I have T-Mobile service. Actually, I have the family plan with service for my wife and son.

I added the 300 messages per month option just to my number. That allows me to send and receive SMS and MMS messages on my Treo 680.

I don't have a data plan so I can't surf the web (not even T-Zones).
