SD Memory for 80

I want to go out and buy an SD card for my Treo...Am I understanding this correctly?

My Treo 680 takes SD Memory Cards... But.. I can use mini and micro cards if I have an adaptor?

Do the treos pretty much work with any card?

Sorry... new to treos and SD memory in general.

Any helpful tips would be much appreciated!

Yes. SD (Secure Digital). Don't get mini-SD or xD or CF.

Just walk into a competent store and say, "Please give me SD card." Insert the article 'an' after 'me' to confirm you're not a Neanderthal.

Don't forget that size matters! With prices where they are nowdays, I wouldn't go for less than a 1 gig. I have a two gigger in mine and have about 500 megs open. That will drop considerable the next time a drop a couple more movies on mine . .

you can use an MMC too.. (Multimedia Card) which looks exactly the same as an SD card, yet is different some how

MMC cards are thinner than SD cards

I have been told its limited to a 4gb card and it cant read bigger? Any one confirm that?

There has been some debate about the 4 gb cards. I am still not sure if Palm officially supports 4 gb, but most of the newer Palms seem to run 4 gigs cards . . . With that said, not all are cards are compatible. You might want to do a search here for 4 gig cards and see which ones have been working and which ones aren't . .

You can us ethe mini or micro it is has an adapter to make it regular sd card size the mini sd s come with an adapter I'm not sure about the micro sd
