Sending MP3 Ringtones via Messaging...

I have a 680 and I have been trying to send ringtones in mp3 format to my son's phone via messaging. Whenever I try to attach the ringtone, it says: "Unsupported Format: The messaging application does not support this type of item."

Am I doing something wrong or is there an application that I need to either add or replace the messaging app with? If so, can someone lead me in the right direction?

Hi Ben~

He has a Motorola SLVR. It used to be my phone and I never had a problem sending or recieving these types of ringtones on it. That's how I know it's a Treo thing.
