When will the Treo 680 accommodate SKYPE programs?

Hello Tom! Welcome to ET Forums! I was thinking that sometime back, I read something about a 3rd party app for the Treo that would allow Skype transmissions, I Googled it , and have some great news for you. Check out this link, and the Treo 680 is supported!

Dear Stillrockin - thanks for reply. Went to suggested web site and though downloaded skype plug in (Eqo) was unable to download needed jvm file. The jvm does not seem provide a download for the 680. Grateful for your advice of how to circumnavigate this. Thanks - T.

I too, have had problems with jvm files on a 680. I tried moving back to Opera Mini browser with IBM's webshere. It refused to run on the 680, even though I had it running fine on a 650. Lets both hope there is something soon!

Try iSkoot.com, it works great on the 680, only you have to manually enter the number, it then calls you back and connects. It is much better then using jajah, the clarity on SkypeOut is amazing. Enjoy!
