Syncing with an old HotSync - possible? - Treo Forums

Hi all.

I know that syncing with an old version of Hotsync is not advised right out of the box, but hear me out:

At work, I only have access to HotSync 4.0.
Not surprisingly, syncing with it send my Treo into the "startup loop of death", only to be revived with a Hard Reset.

Is it possible to sync it with that old HotSync AFTER I have installed the software and synced the device with my home computer first?

I haven't had the time to install the software at home yet, but I wouldn't like to hard reset it again at work on Monday.

Setting the conduits to device overwrites desktop keeps information from the desktop from hitting the device. A stupid question though, what are you syncing? I normally sync to a laptop and can and have done so recently, syn'd to a desktop at work, though for no real reason.

Easy, I use the organizer functions extensively.
Tasks, Dates, Contacts all go into outlook and into the palm.

Not being able to sync either at work or at home would be of no use.
And I need the info from the desktop to the palm, as I have tons of appointments sent to me at work.
