    Default treo 680

:frown:I moved on getting the treo 680 two weeks ago from the 650 because goodlink will no longer support the 650 after august '08. THe 680 has such a terrible battery life that I will instruct our CIO to remove it from our inventory and find an alternative. For example, I leave home at 6:00 AM to catch a plane and the phone is fully charged. Upon arriving at the airport 40 minutes later the treo has 82% juice left. After landing, with no use, I have 65 % left. This is simply unacceptable for my company and we will no longer use it until the problem is solved.
An excellent device however the achilles heel is the battery power. Most unfortunate.

Mine was like that until I installed the latest update, now it will go days before it needs recharging.

A lot of it depends upon what you do with it and signal strength. An extended battery makes sense also as a note, the battery used in the Treo series does not develop memory and loves to be charged when it is doing nothing. If you are not locked in with the 680 series, I suggest looking at the Centro. I have a Sprint Centro with an extended battery and it does very well with push mail active all day with ChatterEmail, heavy usage of Documents to Go, HanDBase, the phone and a few other applications.

try conditioning the battery first; discharge all the way and recharge until green a few times. this made a big difference with mine. turn off bluetooth and infrared when you are not using it. I am used to having screen brightness about half-way down. I can use mine heavily with phone and applications all day long with no problem.
