I am having a similar experience. I successfully paired the JX10 with my Treo 680. The status area displays a blue headset in the Bluetooth position. When I initiate a call, the "Cancel Bluetooth" button is displayed; and when I place a call, I hear the connect tone in the headset when the state transitions from "Dialing" to "Active". After that, however, there is no audio in the headset.
When a call is active, briefly pressing the "talk" button on the JX10 produces a beep in the headset, but no response on the phone. Pressing and holding the "talk" button places the call on hold. When the call is ended, the disconnect tone sounds in the JX10.
When no call is active, briefly pressing the "talk" button appears to have no effect on the phone. Pressing and holding the "talk" button redials the last number.
This headset worked great on my Treo 650. Both before and after I performed these tests agains the 680.
