Default Treo 680 and Plantronics Headset

I just found out my Plantronics Discovery 665 Bluetooth headset is not compatible with my Treo 680.

    This is ridiculous!

Okay, ultimately it's my fault for not going on to the Plantronics website and running a compatibility check for my phone and their headset BEFORE I bought the headset. But it's 2007, both of these products are the latest and greatest, and both claim to use the latest Bluetooth protocols.

I am trying to ascertain whose fault it is for these products not being compatible. Any ideas?

I just got a Plantronics Voyager 510 this week.
It'll answer calls OK, but it's a PITA to make one & get it to work.
Your post in the other thread about Plantronics' reply about incompatibility makes sense now.
When I turn the headset off, the phone has the option of canceling Bluetooth. I have to do this to use the phone.
When the headset is powered on, the phone doesn't have this option-I have to start the call on the phone, then push the button on the headset to transfer to it-& hope I don't end the call.
I had a Motorola 700 or something bluetooth headset, and everyone complaining about hearing background noise where I work got annnoying, so it got thrown in a drawer.
It also felt like it was going to fall off all the time.
We should get paid for testing this high priced junk.
