I've done the battery reset a few days ago, fully charged my Treo, and since then it has been off the hook.
The results are quite encouraging : My Treo still shows over 50% capacity, although it was last charged on Jan. 21 !
I'm not a heavy user though : a couple of phone calls per day, a little e-mail, a little web browsing, a little bluetooth file exchange with my Mac, and that's it...

So it seems that for me, this patch really solves this nasty battery problem.

Default camera patch

I noticed last weekend that my battery was showing in the red when I made a call. But two hours later, I went to put it on the charger and noticed that it was still on, and functioning, and the battery level hadn't changed . . If I were indeed losing 10-12% per hour like I have been seeing, then my phone should have been dead before those two hours were up . . . Your camera patch link and this procedure have addressed my battery woes!

Again, thanks so much for sharing here!

At 2:10 this morning I put it back on the charger. Thats 11 hours with very heavy phone use, (19 calls total) IMAP constantly connected, and quicknews retrieving the latest updates during this time. When I went to plug it up, I had 58% of the battery left!

Not bad at all!

I've been reading y'all's suggestions about saving the battery, please tell me what is that camera patch called and how do i disable it, or what are the steps I should take in order to do what needs to be done? Thank you...

Well, your not disabling anything as much as your are installing a patch that helps to plug a hole in a battery drain caused by the camera! You can get the patch here:
http://www.palm.com/us/support/downl...eraupdate.html
After you install the patch, you might consider recalibrating the battery meter by following the instructions in this thread, but I will go ahead and list the instructions again:
Disable any background app before starting. This is critical! Chatter, Treoalarm, and quicknews were the three I had to turn off. SET them to off, because you will be resetting the device a couple of times in this process.

Please follow the steps below to solve the issue:

1. Connect your Treo to a wall charger.

2. Remove the battery from the Treo and wait for at least one minute.

3. Remove the SIM card from the device and wait for another minute.

4. Put the battery back into the device (without the SIM card) then let your Treo charge for at least 4 to 6 hours and for this duration:
    • Do NOT press any key after reinserting the battery.
    • Do NOT switch your TREO On or Off either, it will do so automatically after a short time.
    • Do NOT enter the SIM card PIN if prompted to do so, just wait!
After this procedure, which can be performed and repeated any time, you will now dispose of the full charging capacity and the display of the remaining battery power will work correctly.”
