Treo 680 Drains my battery in 4 hours. Help!

Hi,

I have bought a Palm Treo 680 last year. And I had a problem with the digitizer. When I got in touch with customer support, they said that it is a manufacturing defect and it has to be swapped.

Once I got the refurbished hand set back, I have tried to use it. But this time the battery was draining out very quickly. I always charged the battery for 8 hours and but the battery used to drain in 4 – 5 hours.

And I have observed that my handset was getting heated, when it is getting charged. I did not play any heed to it.

So again I got in touch with Customer Support about the battery draining problem. They again asked me to swap it. And I got it swapped.


I got the battery last week.

When I started charging it, the handset is getting heated up while charging. And it was getting heated up when it is on. I could feel the heat my shirt pocket.

On top of it, the battery drains as much. The longest I have is 4 hours 22 minutes. (I tracked it!)

I am so unhappy that I have to go through all these. I have spent money both the times to get the handset and the battery swapped.

Now I have a Treo 680 which drains in no time. And it gets heated up. And I am really really unhappy of all the ordeals that I have to go with/

I want a refund for my product. Please tell me what I should do?

Alright KKRa7an, here's a trick that I have learned. Follow these steps in order!

1. Plug your Treo into it's power outlet.
2. After doing so, remove the Treo battery, and wait at least a minute.
3. After you removed the battery, remove your SIM card, and wait at least a minute.
4. Insert battery AND SIM card.
5. Let it charge for at least 4 - 6 hours.

IMPORTANT
You must not touch the Treo's screen, push any buttons, do not turn the Treo on or off.
