Treo 680 Extended Battery - Good or Not So Good?
I've just upgraded to the 680 from a 650 and miss the battery life I used to have. Anyone have anything to say about the extended battery that you can purchase for the 680? Like? Dislike? How much more battery time does it provide?
Thanks!!

i dislike the battery life on the 680...compared to my 650 the battery life on the 680 is damn horrible, i even downloaded the upgrage onto my phone and installed it and there was only a slight difference, i still have to charge it appoximately once every 1.5 days, unlike the 650 where i could have it going for like 5 days no problem...
hopefully someone on here can provide a better way to keep battery life, or has some tips, cause i am so disappointed with the 680 battery life.
does the 700 series have horrible battery life too?!

Yes, I would agree on the 680 battery life, that's why I ask the question on the extended battery available for purchase. If anyone can provide some information on it, it would greatly appreciated.

Howdy,
Just got mine today. It is charging so I can't comment on life, but I do know this. It is huge. HUGE. Friggin Big. Much thicker than my 650. And the new battery door doesn't fit as well and is very thin plastic.
Oh, and did I mention that this HUGE thing won't fit in any carrying case known to man (or woman)?
I'll let you know later on battery life.

Damn funna....
Yah... please let me know how that works out...
Thanks!!

Howdy again.
I like the new battery. It easily lasts twice as long as the original. No issues with it. And it does fit in the Covertec horizontal case... but it is a tight squeeze.
My 680 no longer has Battery Envy when comparing to my old 650.

If you don't want the fat cover and battery but would prefer the slim battery. Seido makes a 1600 mAh battery which is 25% more time. I think I saw an 1800 mAh battery too. Neither of which were very expensive. I use the Seido 1600 and it's great.
