    Default treo 680 keypad problems

    got a new used treo 680 and after buying a battery for it, having problems. seems that keypad isn't working when touch screen is on. when screen blanks after a period of no-use, that's when keys work. any ideas on what's wrong? when stylus is out of it's holder, does that enable keypad for some weird reason??? help

    update: i wanted to put a picture as my wallpaper and the phone didn't have an SDcard in it, so i put in my camera SD card...as soon as i put it in, all the buttons on the keypad starts working! i then took out the card again, as i wanted to load some music...when i put the card back in, the buttons stopped working again. here's the kicker: when someone calls and after i end the call, the buttons start working again, but as soon as the screen turns off (power saver), buttons stop working again...anyone know what's going on???

    Have you tried resetting your device (remove battery and then reinsert)?
