No. After you execute a hard reset, are you re-installing software or does the problem still happen with NOTHING you have added on to the device.
If the device is fully charged and you are in an area with a decent signal and the device in a "virgin" state, the light should not be on and indicates the device may need an appointment with a medical doctor.

nope phon ei sdoesnt absolutely nothing. Im gussing either bad lcd or main board. I can fix but im trying to pin point the problem so im taking to a doctor in few

If it does it after a hard reset and nothing installed, then it needs a physical. If you do a restore after a hard reset, you are probably bringing the problem back to the device.

My treo is at the cell phone clinic, I will let you guys know what the problem is when i Get it back from being repaired

Just joined the forum.
Same thing happened to me yesterday. Bizarre thing is not only that red light is on (and phone is dead) when battery is in and apparently charged, but removing battery and leaving it plugged into power outlet shows no light at all. Could the phone itself be dead? Have tried soft/warm/hard reset to no avail. Have left out battery X 12 hours and recharged - same issue as above. I haven't bought a new battery because it seems as though its a phone issue. I see nothing on the screen (nor do I hear anything) regardless of what I do...help..
