    Default Treo and grafitti?

I was surprised when I got my Treo that it doesn't have Grafitti. :frown: Does anyone know if it can do Grafitti? If so, how?

Thanks for taking the time to post! Can you send me the name of your supplier? You're getting better stuff than I am! :gasp: Now go back to your room and take another toke. Star Trek will be back on soon.

For the rest of you, I'm wondering if a Treo 680 can be made to recognize Graffiti?

A freebie that I am aware of that allows graffiti is Diddlebug

I used it about the whole time I had my 650, but don't believe it has ever made it to my 680. It allows you to scribble on the screen and then save them. I used to scribble notes while talking on the phone. Now I seem to just do it in a word doc with my thumbs . . .

Thanks for your reply. What I want is to be able to once again use Graffiti to enter appointments, notes, etc. Does anyone know if this is doable, and how?

I found it myself. Did a lot of searching on the net and found a program called MobileWrite. Downloaded and installed it this morning and have been trying it out. If I don't find any major problems with it, I'll buy it in the next couple of days. It's $25 normally, but you can get a 15% discount right now. If anyone else is interested, it's at Palm Focus:

Hope someone else can use it. It allows you to use your own printing or Graffiti 1 or 2. Takes some getting used to, not having the entry area at the bottom of the screen, like my Palm M500 did, but I'm working on it. Will be much faster than thumboarding keys, that's for sure, when I get back up to speed!

Actually, all Treos still have Graffiti installed in the OS - just no way to access it via any of the included software or screens.

~ insert how you feel about this brainless concept here ~

Meanwhile, while I've not used it, I've read good reports about the freeware Graffiti Anywhere and it rates 5 stars from users at PalmGear.

GA's own site is here -

    http://www.escande.org/palm/GrfAnywhere/

Instructions seem a bit convoluted, but if its as successful as it seems by reviews, I guess you get used to it. And its free!

Version 1.5.9 is good for the Treo 680.

And speaking of lost screen input software - you do know that Palm's 'old' NotePad can be used on a Treo? From a machine of your own or a friend's, access the NotePad files (Note Pad and Note Pad_enUS) via FileZ and beam them across to the Treo.
You won't be able to view Note Pad items in the current crop of Treo Palm Desktops, but hotsync does back them up.

MobileWrite works great. It taps into both versions of Graffiti and your own printing. though I've found that thelonger I use the thumbboard teh faster i can eneter stuff.

    Hi-

I'm encouraged to read that I might be able to use graffiti on my Palm Treo 650. The thing is, though, that I am not subscribed to a phone service or net service with it....it's just an organizer for me, for appointments, notes, to do lists, etc. Would I be able to use graffiti on it by somehow getting it on a CD on my desktop and loading it from there? How? I'm dubious...but thanks if you can help me.
