treo680 startup and reset due to bad application

I had some agendus trial version software on my palm. I havent tried using it in atleast a year. But i accidently clicked on it, and from then on, i cant get the Palm to start up. No matter how many times i restart(remove battery & put it back), it still doesnt start up. It shows a progress bar and gets stuck.

How can i restore my palm ? Is there a safe-mode entry where i can go in and delete the misbehaving application ? I thought Palm would do a better job of handling misbehaving applications.

How can i save the data i have on the palm ? If i can save the data, i wouldnt mind doing a hard reset.

Please advice.

warm/system reset fixed this issue. i didnt lose any data. Yay!! Thanks palm

You might look at a backup application such as Resco Backup and have it set to do daily backups. In addition, www.northglide.com offers an application called OnGuard Backup - http://northglide.com/onguardbackup.html - it can be set to back up specific information/applications upon exiting that application.
