Default Unlocked Treo 680 no web

    Hello all

I recently unlocked my Cingular Treo 680, I am currently a T Mobile user. After I unlocked the phone and insert my T Mobile sim the phone feature works fine, I can make and receive calls as well as send and receive text messages. However I am unable to use the web, I had a BlackBerry Pearl before the Treo and was using a BlackBerry Unlimited plan, when I insert my sim back to the blackberry everything works fine. My question is will this data plan work for web access on a Treo 680 or do I need to switch my data plan with T Mobile. Thanks for any help in advance.

I, too, just bought an unlocked Treo 680. I can't answer the question about the Blackberry data plan, but I can tell you that T-Mobile has a team in the Blackberry/PDA support group that is dedicated to helping those of us who have unlocked Treos and other unlocked PDA devices. I got to a Level 3 tech last night who gave me the IP address and other settings. Just say "PDA support" when the automated system prompts, then ask the live person for the group that supports unlocked PDA's.

For T-Mobile you need either TZones ($5.99/month, for light usage like checking email) or the T-Mobile Internet Plan ($19.99/month, allows streaming media and tethering). The Blackberry data plan is not recognized by the Treo as a valid access plan. Square peg, round hole.
