You wouldn't like the WM5. It is slow and clunky. The Palm system is by far the better OS. Programs take ages to load. It's not bad, its just not slick.

Palm OS is better (in my opinion) although they are now releasing alot of WM apps that are equivocal to Palm (for example- google maps for WM). The biggest discrepancy is that there is no equal to Chattermail for genuine IMAP Idle push for WM. That's what keeps me from getting a 750. If they get something like this, I would love to have the HSDPA functionality.

cuoffcirc, I agree! Someone asked me a few weeks ago what were my three most favorite apps for the Treo . . Chatter for sure, and probably after that, zLauncher. For the 650, I would have included VolumeCare, as I was really disappointed until I installed it! After I did, it worked so good, I would forget it was installed! Since I really don't need it on the 680, I guess I would say Treo Alarm is next . . . I use it daily in some form or fashion. The many others get used, but those three are used almost constantly!

I have seriously thought about going with a 700wx and giving the wife my 700p and then I started thinking about what I have on it, how it looks, et cetera. And like others, I want ChatterEmail, TakePhone, a good today screen that ...

    Oh, well.

WM may look nice, but I think Palm is way better. It's simpler, faster..it just works!

I repair barcode scanners in the form of Palm devices and WM devices. The WM have the great majority of software and OS problems. I think it's close to 10 to 1. The Palm OS is fast, WM is slow. Palm has mature apps, WM is still trying to figure them out. Go with Palm OS, wait for Linux. That's my advice. Not to say the Linux OS will be better, but I would not put Microsoft's OS on my phone. It's OK when the PC hangs, not the phone.
