|  using two Palm devices on one desktop I have a Treo 680 & a Palm Tungsten E2. Can someone give me any tips as to how to HotSync two Palm devices on the same computer? I have the same user name on both devices. Is it necessary to change one? If so, can you do that easily? |

| The user name has to be different. However, what one can do is rename the CURRENT user name to something like TE2 USER NAME. just juggling the names around will do the trick. Ben

| OK, I didn't do this at the time, but the computer I back my phone up to has developed serious problems. I'd like to use the computer I sync my Tungsten to. On what do you change the user name-the phone or the desktop? I've added a new user on the Palm desktop software, but I can't figure out how to add another device. The last thing I want to do is have my files all comingled, doubled, etc on the Treo & Tungsten. |

| Rename the corresponding folder on the desktop to something else: /palm/NEWNAME and that will keep your information from becoming confused. The first time you sync the Tungsten you will be asked for a device name - choose whatever, just do not choose the old one that you renamed to /palm/NEWNAME.
