    Default Web problem

I'm on the Orange network in the UK. When I first got my Treo, Orange sent me some sim card updates, and I set up the network settings, and web access worked fine, but now when I try to go to a web address, a red cross appears at the top of the screen, alongside the word Sending, but nothing happens. I recently updated my Treo software to version 2.12. At the same time I also installed the latest version of the Palm desktop software, after which the Treo would not sync, so I ended up doing a hard reset. This fixed the sync problem, and I then reinstated my settings and applications. It was after this that I found that I couldn't use the web functionality, but as I hadn't used it for quite a while beforehand, I can't definitely say whether any of these things was the direct cause of the problem. A very helpful person at the Orange call centre talked me through everything he could think of, but eventually he had to admit defeat. Everything looks fine, but the Treo just doesn't take me to a web page when asked. Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks Laura

    Default

Well, I think I am about finished with Orange now, they have not been able to help me, and now they are saying they don't support the Treo 680. So - can anyone suggest an alternative network in the UK, one which does support the Treo 680?

Sorry for replying to my own posts here, but I thought I would update this in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation. I went to a different Orange shop, they gave me a new sim card free of charge and I got to keep my existing number. They were very helpful and there was no mention at all of Orange not supporting the 680. So now my Treo is fully functional again.
