Windows Media Won't Sync with my 680!! - Treo Forums

Ok, the last few times I used Windows Media to sync Mp3 files onto my 680, it worked. I tried a couple nights ago, and it won't detect my phone when I hook it up. It did this once before, and after reinstalling Palm Desktop, it worked again. So, I uninstalled Palm Desktop and reinstalled it, but that didn't work this time. Can anybody help me with this? PLEASE!!!!!!!

The USB cable connections - are they tight? and have you tried a Bluetooth transfer (if applicable)? Cables are a pain and sometimes seating them properly takes an extra push. The 600 was a prime example of a lousy connection method.

The cables are as tight as they will get. I haven't tried the Bluetooth, bc I don't think my computer has that. How would I set it up?

That is different with every computer. You will need to read your 680 manual to get it set up.

Not every computer has Bluetooth and implementations vary across the spectrum. I did not realize my new laptop has (really had) Bluetooth, so I installed a Bluetooth adapter and am syncing with no problems that way. I thought I would go to the Acer site to see if a driver is available from there...

I have a Kensington Bluetooth adapter I purchased from CompUSA about a year ago and it has worked well for me.

Ok, I figured it out. I feel like a total idiot, but I forgot you had to activate pTunes on the Treo first!
