| It is device dependent. The 650 and 700p next together, the 650 will connect and stay connected; the 700p does not stay connected.
Intiating a connection is also quicker and more reliable with the 650.
As a result, I use PDANet much less infrequently with the 700p when out on the road than with the 650. I have not purchased a license for the 700w yet and probably will not.

I would be curious as to what the problems are you are experiencing. |

| Okay...I made the switch to the 700p on Sprint...got it for $99...pretty sweet deal. Anyway...I've loaded zLauncher onto it, but I cannot figure out how to get zLauncher to load when the home button is pushed. Everytime I press the home button, it goes to the Palm home pages. How can I switch that? Thanks! |

| When the 700p first came out, that was an issue requiring the purchase of LudusP. Since then, ZLauncher's latest version overrides the 700p's original tendency, so setting that within the ZL prefs should do it for you. If not, check the ZZTechs website and make sure you've got the latest release.

| On the 650 it connects rapidly and reliabily. I never have lost connection. With the 700p it is a different story. Connections are not rapid and not reliable. Try before buying - I tried and it worked the first time for about 30 minutes, so I bought. When I was in the field and needed to send a big spread sheet, it would not maintain contact and I was in an area where the 650 never had a connection problem.
I now send it in a smaller spread sheet directly from the Treo.

| I'm on the latest version of zLauncher 5.41. I don't see the setting in zLauncher...maybe I'm missing it? All of the settings are the same from the 650...can't figure this one out... Also, I've just begun to have a problem with the phone just locking up...I have to pull the battery in order to get it to reset and boot up again. HMMM...any ideas? (This is after it has set around for 30 mins with no use...)

| The latest beta release of ZLauncher is 5.42b4 and it is listed the lower left side. The setting within ZLauncher is: Within Preferences - General - Default Launcher - at that point it then takes over the "home" key. For the "quick launch" feature, I use custome and have it set to the "green" key on my Sprint Treo 700p. This setting keeps ZLauncher from interferring with the other key definitions. I have been using 5.42b4 since the beta has been released.
The link is: http://www.zztechs.com/en/zlauncher/beta.htm

| I didn't have a 650, so no comment, but I've had my 700p w/ sprint now for about 3 weeks.
The EVDO is NOICE...but you gotta be within coverage.
Sprint TV is only worth it if you don't mind paying $3-$5 to view anything worthwhile each time.
The screen is excellent.
When traveling to vancouver, not having internet access sucked. What made it worse was the fact my hotel had free WIFI, but as you know, the 700p does not support Wifi or are there Wifi cards available for it.
yellow.

| Definitely better service via USB than Bluetooth; however, a sync cable has never been connected to my Treo 700p or w - I only use Bluetooth. The 650 has not seen a cable in months.

How is Sprint service compared to Cingular? Signal good? How is their internet packages? Is the Sprint TV worth it? I know...many questions...thanks in advance! | I know this sounds crazy but if I were you I'd keep my 650 I have had (five) trio 700 Ws with Verizon. constant trouble I finally begged them to give me the 700p
prior to this I had the 650 if I could do it all over again I guarantee that would keep my 650 I have spent countless hours trying to hot sync , blue tooth connect ,wireless sync , exc.exc./ I now sync with outlook via cable !! Do yourself a favor don't think by spending more money you gonna get a better phone keep your 650 !! good luck |
