700p Address Book Issue

Hello:

I ran into a strange problem with my Treo 700p. The phone has 1500 contacts with pictures being maintained by Palm Desktop. I performed a soft reset on the phone by removing the battery, and all my contacts have been deleted. The strange thing is all the other information and phone settings remained untouched.

Have anyone here seen this issue, and is it a hardware issue that I need to worry about.

Have you tried to sync the photo yet. If your contacts come back I would not worry about it.

I had exactly the same problem. Fortunately I do have a backup of the contacts but, after syncing the log indicates that syncing address book failed. Evertything else synced fine.

Anyone have an answer or explanation ast to the problem?

If I repace this phone, I doubt that it will be with another one of these. To many issues.
