    Default 700p and DUN

I received my 700p yesterday. I am upgrading from a 600 so I love all the new features. On my 600 I used PDAnet and my vision connection to allow the Treo to serve as a computer modem. The PDAnet version for the 700p is not out yet. I tried the Sprint program for the 700p and, of course, to get it to work I had to agree to pay Sprint an extra $25/month. After i did that I found the following article.

    http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive...legal_dun.html

This article describes how to use the 650 and Windows DUN to acces the modem w/o paying for the teathered connection. I created a new dun connection, had it dial #777, used the word web for both the user name and password. I was able to connect teathered to the usb cable from my laptop to the 700p. The speed was comparable to the sprint software. What I don't know is whether this would have worked if I hadn't upgraded the service. Has anyone tried to connect through dun either tethered or BT without paying for the upgraded service?

Default Works with mac's using same process

About three months ago a customer came in my store and showed me that on the my ibook g4 there are builtin scrips to use the bluetooth connection as a dial up modem and it used the same connectin process. With the 700p it doesn't work on my mac as of right now just like the pdanet doesn't work on macs. My logic is that just as sprint probably purchased mobitv right to give up sprinttv and sprint purchased rights to express to give us ondemand and how sprint purchased pdanet more than likely to give us sprint dial up networking.
