Default 700p Battery Life?

My wifes 650 died and Sprint replaced it with a new 700p. Great that she has a new phone now, but we have noticed that the battery in the 700p will only stay charged for about 1 day. The 650 would stay up and running for about four days.

Any one have a comment on the battery life of the 700p vs. 650?

The battery seems to run down because something keeps the phone going as I noticed that the phone gets hot some times when I take it out of the holster & theres been no use, I'm on my 3rd one with thew same problem. Can anyone help? could it be that something is running in the background? could it be the browser as theres no way to disconnect on the 700?

j3cubcapt, unfortunately, the poor battery life is something we're stuck with on the 700p.

Do you have any apps loaded that run in the background? Mail, etc? Did you get your replacements from the same store? Some people have "broken the cycle" by getting replacements from a different store, avoiding possibly getting phones from the same lot/batch that may all have similar problems.

I had 2 replacement that came from Verizon & then I got a new one in LA (i'm in NY) from a store. I used to have tcpmp, volumecare & ptunes deluxe & took them all off, only thing I have is Docs to Go which came bundeled. On my last ones I did complete hard reboots. The biggest issue is that it gets very warm which I think means its running all the time. Tech support just wants to replace it again. It's makin me nuts! I didn't have this problem with my 600 or 650. I love the phone but not the hassles I 'm having now.

do you have the versamail set to automatically go out and gather messages from the server? (active-sync)?
