700p on Alltel Dec 06/Jan 07?

I recently started the quest to upgrade my 650 and as I am married to Alltel because of the company I work for I have been a bit bummed by the available offerings. However, starting tomorrow Alltel is adding the 700wx to their lineup. They have the wx in the local stores and the floor displays are going up tomorrow. But as a 'Nix hacker M$ is a no go. Some sleuthing with Alltel's customer support has revealed that the 700p is supposedly in the pipe, I have been told both Dec 17th and early January '07.
I was just wondering if anybody else had anything that could further verify or discredit these rumors. There are 4 other guys in the office waiting on the 700p and I am the one that makes the call on the purchases, so any word would be helpful.
