| 700p or 700wx? I'm looking at buying my first smartphone and have decided on the 700p or the 700wx.I mostly want it for internet, full texting including pictures and ect.i need it to do a little work on it,mainly spreadsheet work. i realize the 700wx doesn't have all the feature's of texting like the 700p, i dont know what mms or sms is,iv read for days and just dont know which one is for me. I think by reading correctly if I can download something to get pics texting and stuff,is this true? also not sure if i want the windows version or the palm os.any help is appreciated.thnx |

| They both accomplish much the same tasks, though in a different manner. My suggestion is to visit your provider and ask to play for a few moments or hours (I did the 2 hours before buying one WM device and returning it 3 days later).
To answer your question, the threaded message option is there for SMS (texting).
Both devices have applications on them that allow you to work with Word and Excel files. I use my Centro extensively with Excel files and bunches of other things. Play may be your best friend.

| I also started with the wx. I reasoned that it would have the lowest learning curve as I was accoustomed to Windows. I soon discovered that it doesn't have the touch screen which was something that I wanted. Having used the Palm OS for years it was a no brainer to try the 700p. I have had it for three+ years and still using it. It isn't perfect but everytime I try to switch away from it, I come right back. It has it's problems and maybe a future iteration of this device will be everything I want it to be.
I agree that you should try both as much as you can and make the agreement with your provider that you can trade if you are not happy.
Whichever device you choose, stay with this site as you will gave access to valuable resources. |

When the 700p came out he said that the 700p fixed all the problems with the 700w. I bought the 700p and it's great. |

| All of the Palms with the exception of the 500 series have touch screens.

| I also like the Palm OS; however, when the 800W comes out I will be getting one only because of the multi-tasking.

| From what i'm reading here the 700p is the way to go, but my question is back to what the original post is, that can it send pix and flix messages, or do you have to download an application for it.
Thanks |
