700p vs 700w?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a new 700. Have done much research and in my mind there is not a clear and present winner between the 700p and 700w. Any recommendations or why one is better than the other? Looking at going with Verizon if that make a difference. Oh, one last thing. Do not let this affect your response but I am replacing a very old Palm m125 so I am familiar with Palm's OS but not ruling the windows based treo out either.
