Default 700P with TomTom6 and car's bluetooth system.

I am thinking about buying 700P but some questions to ask.

1.While using TOMTOM 6 with 700P, what will happen when call comes in? TomTom stops and show the caller ID number or just rings with TomTom still running the map?

2. I also have a bluetooth carkit that it came with. My question is, is it possible to connect the bluetooth GPS like Holux and car's bluetooth device at sametime to 700P? For example, I would like to use my TomTom connected to portable device while I am on the phone using car's bluetooth mic/speakers from the car. Basically connecting two bluetooth connections at once

Thank you for your help.

I'd like to know the answer to that as well.

Thanks, Target

In my experience, if you get a text or a call, it knocks you out of the map mode and you have to re-enter your map info to get it all back. Unless I'm doing something wrong anyway.

I think it stinks.

Is it possible to talk (either speaker or blue tooth) on the phone and re-enter map mode at the same time?

That's what I thought. I guess you have to return to the map screen after the phone calls for SMS calls.
I wonder you can connect to the GPS device and bluetooth mic/speaker at same same.... I assume two bluetooth devices at once can not connect but... maybe there is a software?

If there is it would be TomTom software. For example there is no standard way to connect multiple Bluetooth headsets to a single handset, to the best of my knowledge there is not a software set to allow it. So the question would be would your TomTom support linking to both at the same time. If it's standard Bluetooth I would suppose not, but I've only used a Magellan in-car nav system.

I have TOMTOM6 and Palm TX right now. From Tomtom6 config, there is no support for connecting two bluetooth devices at once.

I guess, if I buy a Treo 700, I can not connect my Tomtom6 to GPS device or my car bluetooth mic/speaker at the same time. That's shame..... I really wanted Treo for X-mas.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great Christmas gift!!! You'd love it, but I cannot think of how you'd be able to do both at once. Depending on your carrier, you can still get [url=http://www.telenav.com]TeleNav[url] for the device and just get a cradle for your car - use the on-device GPS and hook the Bluetooth to your car.

I have Tom Tom 6 for my 700p & 700wx. With my 700WX, if a call comes in while using the GPS , I answer the phone call, then put it on speaker phone. I can talk to the individual while the GPS is running.

Now for my 700p, when a call comes in, it will leave out of Tom Tom. I then have to answer the call and put it on speaker phone, then reopen Tom Tom. Sucks but after a couple of calls... you get use to it.
