Accessing subfolders in Versmail 3.5.1

I have a 700p and I am trying to get Versamail to access
my fastmail account subfolders via imap. Sending and
receiving mail works correctly but up to this point I have
not figured out how to get Versamail to display any
subfolders that I have defined on the fastmail server.
I have subfolders of Inbox and user defined folders at
the same level as Inbox.

Do subfolders work correctly with Versamail 3.5.1 :confused:
or should I be looking at another email app?? If it does
work what are the steps. I have tried syncing (via the Sync
Server Folders menu item) and only the Inbox shows up.

Maybe someone more technical than I can tell you if Versamail is supposed to support subfolders. I tried to get it to, and never had any luck either. But I had many other problems with Versamail as well.

I sound like a broken record around here, but I would suggest you try Chatter. It supports IMAP sub folders, as well as multiple IMAP accounts. I have a lot of apps on my Treo, but Chatter is probably the one that gets the most use throughout a day! Its a great product that is well supported by the developer.

I have pretty much given up on VersaMail. It is too much
trouble. I am currently trying Chatter. A definite improvement
but much to configure. Still weighing whether or not I just want
to use Yahoo wap which isn't to bad. I have many folders in
my yahoo account that are used for archive reasons. I have
a number of rules to redirect email to the different folders. Chatter
seems to have limit of 7 subfolders syncd so I have to rethink how
I use the folders in an imap environment (via fastmail)...

I believe you are correct as far as IMAP folders. But as far as POP accounts, I think the limit is something like 256 accounts. If you don't need IMAP for everything, and can live with setting up a few as POP, telling Chatter to "get" on some sort of basis, maybe that might help?
