Default Antivirus software?

Should I have antivirus software on my 700p? I have the VZW data plan and surf web often between meetings. Any suggestions on which to use?

I wouldn't worry about virus software. It really has not become an issue "yet" with mobile smartphones. In fact, I've never seen anything here in the forums relative to someones phone having a virus.

If you did want to pursue it further, here is a link to AntiVirus software.

Default Disable App Switch on Card Insertion Software

I can't find any software that Disables App Switch on SD card insertion that works on 700p. Anybody else have any luck with this? I've tried Card Autorun, NoMountSwitch, Launch This! and 2 others that I can't think of the names of right now.

As Chris said, PalmOS viruses are not a wide threat. I think there are only 4 or 5 in the wild as of this writing, and that number hasn't changed much in 5 years (3 were known in 2000). If you're paranoid, and this isn't necessarily a bad thing in today's e-world, you can read a PalmOS antivirus software comparison here.

As noted above, there's not exactly a rash of virii out there for Palms, but if you're concerned about such things - or maybe beam documents between colleagues (created on a PC that you may not know the history of) it couldn't hurt to pick something.

I use the freeware BitDefender AV for Palm -

It may be basic and a bit long in the tooth now, but as we said, there's not a lot out there - yet....
