Anyone with E-Mail Advice, Please Ring In!

I am using a 700p with a new intel macbook. Most of you windows users/mac haters might not like that idea too much, but that's okay.

Here's my question: What have you guys figured out to be the best way to have email between the treo and my macbook? Can you sync it? Palm tells me it's not possible yet and they don't know when.

Right now i use entourage and it automatically checks my POP email accounts every minute and erases the messgaes off the server once they are downloaded.

I heard that going to IMAP email, like a .mac address would help. I am willing to try anything and switch emails if this is what it takes.

Any detailed info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to searching on this site, i have no problems syncing with entourage. I know you won't let me down.
