Default Beam....no beam

The husband has a 650 and when i first got my treo 700p we were able to beam to eachother. Now, my beam does not work. It's not his because we tried his on someone elses treo and it works. i fool around with my treo alot, is there some setting that I may have accidentaly turned off to disable beaming applications?

Any responses are much appreciated.

Hello LRGROOTS,

This is Kevin from Palm. I'm assuming that when you say beam, you mean via IR. There are two Palm Knowledge Library articles that may help troubleshoot the issue. The first is Turning on and off the IR (infrared) beam function. The second, Can't beam to and from your device (infrared or IR).
I would ignore two of the bullet points in the second article, Software conflicts and Hard reset. A better description regarding them would be in the article Diagnosing problems caused by third party applications.

I don't know if the Raw IR Patch (last bullet, second article) has any bearing, but you might click through its link for details.

Sincerely
Kevin

Hi Kevin

I really appreciate your response. I checked out the links you posted and did a soft reset. It worked =). I hotsynced before I did it cause it's always Murphy's Law with me.
Once again, thank you for your help!

Dee

This approaches the problem from a different direction - try Bluetooth. Ben
