Blue Tooth 650/700p and Sprint

I had a Treo 650 since they were first introduced by Sprint and never could get a BlueTooth headset to work well enough that either I or the person I was talking to could stand to continue the muffeled and static-ridden converstation. I tried Plantronics, Mototola and Jabra BT headsets and had 4 different 650s. I recently bought a Sprint 700p and have had the same results with BT on it. I have tried a Mototola h700 and the Jabra JX10. I have talked to other 650 users that use Verizon or Cingular and they have never had BT issues. Is this a problem with Sprint's version of the 650/700?
