Question Can the 700p be used with Cingular?

I'm a 600 user (and not what you would call a "power user") and am thinking of upgrading (I've been with Cingular). Someone has offered me a 700p - can I use this with Cingular? or do I have to go through that "unlocking"? or am I better off just getting a brand new phone (like the 680)?

    thanks for anybody's help,

No, it cannot; the reason being that the 700p is CDMA and Cingular is GSM and never the twp shall meet. There is no "unlocking" with CDMA devices. If you are stuck with Cingular, then the 680 would be the natural route to follow. Ben
