Cannot permanently delete Treo 700p photos
I have about 55 photos that I shot and saved on my Treo 700p Media folder, and one video. Approximately half of these photos (and the video) are no longer needed. Several times, I've tried to delete these photos and video. I've deleted them from the handheld then synched to the desktop. I've deleted them from the desktop then synched to the handheld. I've deleted them from both the handheld and desktop, then synched. I've performed these various permutations countless times over the past several months. Each time, the unwanted photos and video are restored to my desktop and handheld. Oddly, I am able to successfully (and apparently permanently) delete other photos I've shot over the past several months. But the set I describe above seem immune to being deleted. How do I permanently delete these photos? :frown:

I'm having the same problem. Have you figured out the solution?

I have not learned of a solution, or figured one out. Interesting to see that I am not the only one experiencing this problem. My only thought at this point, which I've not yet tried, is to do a hard reset and hope that would permanently clear unwanted photos.

What about deleting from the computer's Backup folder in Palm under program files ?
Also if you have the file names - you can delete the files from the command prompt usin "del "

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you explain the path for your suggestion? I went to Programs>Palm on my computer, but did not see a Backup folder.

Thanks for the very helpful path. But how do I find the folder containing the unneeded photos? I don't see a folder in Backup titled "photos". Sorry for being so dim.

Sorry, I missed this when you first posted it. I did some checking, and all of my photos are under the following path:
C:\Program Files\Palm\<hotsync ID>\Photos\offline copy location\

The delay was not a problem. I just tried this path, deleted the unneeded photos, deleted them from my handheld, then hotsynched. It appears that at long last, I have successfully deleted the unneeded photos. Thank you!
