Closing out programs and battery life on treo 700p
i have read that you cannot really do this with the treo, basically switching programs will close out programs, but is this really true? i use verichat, and when i switch programs, it does not seem to shut off....i even go to verichat and select sign off on all and exit, and it still seems to be on, because people can still send me messages! there is no other 3rd party software that can close out programs?
by the way, i have verichat on at all times, and chattermail checking my email every 2 minutes.....i dont really talk on the phone all that much, but i am having to charge the phone every day....is this normal? are they both really that much of a battery hog???

Well all basic programs do close out on there own. So if you were switching form calc to contacts the calc app closes and then the device opens contacts.
You really have to worry about closing apps if you are running a WM device. Cause it is more like a computer. It allows u to run more programs in the back ground than u can with palm os.
Verichat should sign u off might want to see if any other programs are conflicting with verichat and so on.
With a treo they barely last a day. If you have the stock battery it barely last 6 hours. But it also depends what u are doing on your treo. If u are watching, listening to music, verichat and etc. Your battery will last like a day. I recommend getting a extender battery. I have the 2400mhz sedio battery and does last 33% longer than the stock battery. It is welll worth it.
