A secure digital (SD) card is the small portable memory card that fits into a slot on the top of the Treo. They range in size from 128k to 4 gig, that will work on a 700p. It's extra storage for music, videos, pictures, documents and even applications.

There were some problems with the 700p acting right when it first came out. Most of that was due to us loading it up with apps that were designed for the 650, and had not yet been updated for the 700p. My 700p is now extremely stable. My only resets come from beta (testing) apps.

I think that's YMMV. I use my Treo as my only phone and am happy with it. Phones depend a great deal on carriers and locations. There's no one-size-fits-all answer.

Some users Treos reset for no apparent reason, some have difficulty with BlueTooth headsets, some get an endless rebooting...things you probably never experinced with the m505

I meant, it is not as easy to use or as convenient as a cell phone. It is a wonderful combination of Palm and phone, but if I had a choice to make a call from a cell phone or from a Treo, I'd prefer the cell phone. I was trying to sound philosophical, but probably failed.

I have to say that I LOVE the service I've gotten from Sprint. I pay around $80 per month for 900 minutes (incoming/outgoing), 300 text messages and the unlimited data plan. I am also using my Treo as an external modem for my laptop from time to time (I use PDANet for that functionality). I have been VERY pleased. I also love the phone feature of the Treo. I had a Motorola Razr with Cingular and I have not felt "slighted" by the Treo when it comes to the phone function. The bluetooth functionality (headset functionality) TOTALLY sucks. I get static with just about every headset I use when I put the phone in the Treo Leather side case and put it on my hip. If I have line of sight to the Treo...I don't have much problem, however. The bluetooth functionality for hotsync and, I would assume, GPS receivers are good. (I hope to get a GPS for Christmas, so I can talk about that then!) The signal quality with Sprint has been excellent, as well. I now get signal where I didn't with Cingular and I have been on a trip in Cincinnati this weekend with friends that have Verizon and I've had great signal everywhere (inside buildings and outside) and my friends have had dropped calls and no signal times. All-in-all...I LOVE my Treo and would be lost without it.
