    Default Contacts--Palm Desktop

Im having problems with incoming calls coming in as "unknown caller" even though the people calling me are in my "contacts" on my phone and my Palm Desktop.

Any ideas of what could be causing this? It is also happening on my wifes 700p. Any solutions?

    Thanks...

Could the person calling you have caller ID block?

If the calls are not blocked by the caller, and you/them are not roaming I would think you have a problem with your carrier.

The same numbers do not display on your phone or your wifes phone? I would call your carrier or test some other numbers.

If you have them in your contacts list, they should be recognized. My Son in Colorado calls me weekly, and his info pops up. He is out of my area by about 25 hours . . . . .

As long as someone is in my contacts when I answer the phone it will tell me the number and who it is. After the call it asks me if I want to add the name to my contacts list if they are not already on it.

Well I contacted Verizon and talked with tech support. Well long story short they had me do a hard reset...umm that was fun. I was able to hotsync almost everything back on and then did a restore with resco. Just had a couple adjustments to make and everything was back to normal. Including the contacts problem...

The only thing that he and I could figure is that when I first got my phone, the salesperson at verizon zapped in our contacts from our old phones. He seems to think that format was different.... So, I erased all contacts on Palm desktop and re-entered them all individually. Did a desktop overwrites handheld and synced the contacts back to my phone. Umm, yeah....still no worky.

I cant figure it out. Im starting to wonder if its the palm desktop software buggin it up. Is it possible to delete the desktop and re download the software? Would all the info on my phone snyc all the info onto the desktop?

Its both mine and wifes phones. Everything else works fine. Its just the "unkown caller" problem....
