Corporate Email

I have the Treo 700p from Sprint. I had no trouble setting up email accounts from free web-based providers like gmail in Versamail but I woud like to get my work email as well. All I have to work with is a server IP address, my email address and password information. Any advice on how to set this up? Can it be done in Versamail?

Hello and welcome to ET.com. That's good you're up and running with Gmail. As for your work email, that will depend on what setup your IT people have running, and whether or not it supports access via an email app. For example, I have 2 work email accts. One can be accessed via my Treo (I use ChatterEmail), and the other can't be accessed by anything other than a Blackberry, unfortunately.

Without knowing exactly what your situation is, I'd suggest asking your IT people for either their help or the info you'll need (i.e. server destination folders and the method of send/receive).

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, our IT department is off site. I sent them an email and they did send me addresses and destination information and the reassuance that i should be able to use the phone to retrieve email, I'm just not sure what to do with that info now that I have it. I'm pretty sure that is all they can do to help me out right now.
