Crashes after syncing
My 700p crashes after successfully syncing. I get the following error:
Failed to backup 1 file(s)- PmTraceDatabase
- Protocol Error: Handheld file could not be opened. (4004)
I see the PmTraceDatabase still resides in the palm files. Anyone having similar problems or have a solution?
Thanks!
Mike

Are you running Vista on your PC?

Hi:
Even if you aren't running Vista, I found this at another site (posted by a possibly familiar individual). Seems to help those who upgraded their desktop software too:
It is a ROM file and because it is in ROM, there is no need to back it up. You can use FileZ and uncheck the box so it does not back up.
From within FileZ, locate the file in question, tap the box next to the filename, then tap on the file, tap on Attributes (from the popup menu), uncheck Backup which should be the very first attribute in the upper left, then tap on Ok.
If you don't have, FileZ is a free file utility that is a solid and very functional tool you should have.
I hope this helps.....
