Default Custom ringtone over-ridden by KNOWN CALLER ringtone

I cannot get a custom ringtone to override a ringtone that is set in SOUNDS & ALERTS>KNOWN CALLER.

I have tried various custom ringtones, even the factory installed ringtones and no ringtone that is selected in the CONTACT list then EDIT>RINGTONE will override what is set as the >KNOWN CALLER ringtone.

Example. I have HOME in the contact list listed as my home number. I have entered *82xxxxxxxxxx as the number to call home, as my home phone will not accept blocked calls (my cell phone number is blocked). I have selected a custom RINGTONE for that number in the EDIT field for the contact. When I try to test that custom ringtone by calling my cell phone from my home phone, *82xxxxxxx, my cell phone recognizes that number when the cell phone rings and displays HOME and the phone number including the area code (xxx-xxx-xxxx) but the KNOWN CALLER ringtone plays instead of the custom RINGTONE assigned to that contact.

I have tried a soft reset as well and simply powering down the phone and powering on again, also have tried several hot syncs.

I do not have Agendus installed.

    Any help would be great.

May I suggest an application similar to Ring Care?

How and why do you think that Ring Care would correct the above mentioned problem?

Well, I have had a bunch of different Palm devices and I have used a bunch of different ring-tone management applications. Take it from there.
